WELCOME
Welcome to St Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Primary School! We are a one-form entry primary school who have been serving our local community for over 100 years. That said, we are forward-thinking and extremely proud that we are totally committed to ensuring that each child achieves their best here whether socially or academically. We aim to produce children who are confident in their abilities, keen to continue to learn and enthusiastic about making a positive contribution to the world.
Our Catholic ethos is extremely important to us. We are guided in all we do by our mission statement:
“Letting the light of Jesus shine through in all we think, say and do.”
We foster Gospel Values in all we do with our children and offer them an exciting and stimulating curriculum that values the uniqueness of every child. Their uniqueness is embraced and celebrated as soon as our children start their journey with us, whether as an in-year admission or in our nursery, from 3 years old. We offer warm and nurturing surroundings for children to flourish and access all aspects of the environment. Our skilled and dedicated staff strive to develop individual talents and interests, through the curriculum and a broad range of extra-curricular activities. We also benefit from a strong partnership with the WRIST Schools, developing expertise from other local primary schools and we will also work very closely with All Hallows Catholic High School, for whom we are a feeder school.
All are welcome in this place! Our children deserve the best and we strive to provide it.
You are always welcome to visit us at any time to see what makes our school, and pupils, so special. Please just contact the school and we will be happy to show you around. At St Mary Magdalen's, every day is an open day!
Thank you for your interest in our school,
Mrs C McKinnon
