Walk to School Campaign
The School Council have set up our walk to school campaign. They want to encourage more families to walk to school and leave their cars at home. They want to help with our environment and encourage a healthy approach. The School Council met with Dr Brennan, our Chair of Governors, to discuss their concerns about the playground being used as a car park which he then took to the Full Governing Body.
Winter Coat Appeal
As the weather turned colder, our Student Councillors supported the local Rotary Club by taking part in a winter coat collection, providing warm coats to those in need in the local community.
Our School Fish
Following our School Council Vote, we have chosen our new fish names:
Bubbles
Mr Jeffrey
Fudge
Tiddles
Stripe
Jack
Buttercup
Strawberry
Children went to visit our community
The children wanted to show that they were thinking about our church community during Lent. They thought it would be a lovely idea to give all the parishioners a little gift after mass. As it is springtime, they chose daffodils as their gift. The parishioners thought it was a lovely idea and all stopped to talk to the children after mass. We received some lovely comments including “we have the best school in Penwortham, with lovely, thoughtful children.”
