Introduction:

Children’s Club is part of our school and governed by the school governors.  The staff there are members of the school staff team. The club is OFSTED registered and is assessed by OFSTED when the school has an inspection. The club opens at 7.30am and closes at 6.00pm.

Registering for Children’s Club:

Any child using the club will need to be registered with the club.  This registration includes contact numbers and addresses and any medical information. This information will be shredded and deleted when your child leaves school.  Attendance registers will be kept for five years.   To register please contact the manager, Mrs Becky Wells-Earp, who will then forward details for the SCOpay app, on which you can both book and make payments

Once you are registered you will let Becky know which sessions you require. Most children are booked in for set nights and/or mornings.  You will be billed for the full half term ahead.

Location of Children’s Club:

Children’s Club happens in the church hall which school hires for the purpose.  Any children taking part in extra curricula clubs after school will be collected by a member of the after school team. When the weather is warm and dry Children’s Club will relocate to the school garden.  When you collect your children please park on the church car park and do not drive down the private part of Buller Avenue.

Fees:

The cost of breakfast club is £4.50 from 7.30am and £1.50 from 8.15am, after school care is £8 up till 6.00pm however if you collect prior to 4 15pm the cost is £4.00. Fees are payable in cash, BACS or childcare vouchers in advance of care

Last Minute Care:

We understand that sometimes unexpected things happen and you may need ad hoc care.  Please let Becky know as soon as possible so that you can be booked in and we can ensure there is space. Please bring along money for that session when you pick up.

Absences:

If you know your child is going to be absent from a session, please indicate this to the Club in advance.

Drop Off early collection Option:

Children can be dropped off with Children’s Club from 8.15am for £1. This is a no breakfast option but Becky and her team will take care of your child and take them to school at 8.40am where they will be handed over to school staff. Children can also be collected prior to 4.15pm, this costs £4.00

Activities:

We have many toys and games for the children to play. There are also craft activities that children may choose to do.  Some children choose to do their homework which after school club staff will oversee. We also encourage the children to play out as much as possible. If your child would like to attend an After School Extra curricular club, we will collect them afterwards and bring them to the church hall/garden. Please note: You only pay once.

Safety:

All staff have full DBS clearance and undergo Child Protection training annually. Staff are also First Aid trained. All health and safety policies for school are also applicable to the club. Therefore all staff have completed induction and digested the comprehensive staff health and safety handbook.

Arrivals and Departures:

A full register is done in school before the children are transferred to the church hall. Any arrival or departure from the premises is recorded in the register. The entrances to the hall will be kept locked at all times whilst the children are on the premises. If the child is to be collected by someone other than the parent/carer, this must be indicated to a member of staff and recorded at the start of the session. The adult nominated to collect a child must be one of those named on the Admissions Form. In the event that someone else should arrive without prior knowledge, the Club will telephone the parent/carer immediately.

Snacks:

Before school children will be provided with a breakfast. During after school care the children will be provided with a healthy snack.
