Y2 Plant experiment22 June 2021 (by Julie Briscoe (Julie Briscoe)) |
We have already learnt that plants need water, light and soil to grow. We wanted to find out what would happen if one of these elements were missing. So we set up a controlled experiment. The control plant grew healthy, dark green leaves and a stem. The seeds with no water and the ones with no soil did not grow at all. The plant in the dark grew a tall, thin, pale, straight stem with small yellow leaves! Why don't you ask a member of Year 2 why this happened?
