Year 4 - Paralympics18 November 2021 (by Cheryl Wallace (Cheryl Wallace)) |
We have been taking part in different Paralympic events this afternoon.
Boccia - this is a ball sport that would be played in a wheelchair and is closely related to bowls.
Curling as if we were deaf - it is a sport in which players slide stones across the surface - we were not allowed to speak during this event and had to use other ways to communicate.
Goalball - this is a team sport designed for athletes with a vision impairment. You need to be quiet when playing this game to allow you to hear the bell inside the ball.
Volleyball - we were not allowed to stand up during this game and had to work hard as a team.
