October is Back History Month in the UK. During their History lesson all pupils in school have been learning about prominent Black people from across the north west. In Year 1 we were lucky enough to learn about the boxer Nicola Adams. The children thought of some brilliant words to describe her and then used the skills learnt from Art to draw her portrait.
In our Art lesson this week we studied the work of Alma Thomas. She produced some wonder art based on the bright colours she would see outside. Look out for the bright coloured circles we have created.
