Year 2 had a full day of hands on activities and learnt what it would like to be out in the wild like some of the explorers we have been learning about.
John, a bushcraft expert, taught the children lots of different skills such as using compasses, tracking people and animals and how to build a fire.
Fire safety was paramount and how to be near fire and move around safely when a fire is lit.
We loved the glorious weather we had but loved the tarps and shelters John built to keep us in the shade even more.
