Today we have finished our sculpture topic in art. We have looked at what a sculpture is, who Antony Gormley is and what he based his work on, and we have created a number of different sculptures ourselves.
Our first sculpture was based on using our imagination and what we knew a sculpture needed to be - as in 3D.
The next sculpture was based on Antony Gormley’s work of looking at human bodies.
Our last sculpture was based on birds. We have studied birds in movement on the screen, and then looked at them in more detail in photographs. Today we made our own birds.
We have had great fun improving our more practical skills in art.
