Today, the children attended the 'Crucial Crew' event at the University of Central Lancashire. They took part in activities focused on health, safety, and well-being.
They participated in the "Eat Well Plate" speed test game, sorting foods into the five main groups, and learned about dental hygiene, including how to brush properly and looking at the sugar content in sweets and drinks.
Sessions on the dangers of smoking and vaping highlighted the associated health risks, while a discussion and quiz on antisocial behaviour explored its impact on individuals and communities.
The police also delivered an informative session on online safety and the importance of children understanding their digital footprint.
The children should be very proud - they contributed enthusiastically and the event leaders all said their behaviour was impeccable.
