Year 6 - Fire Safety Visit6 February 2025 (by Cheryl Wallace (Cheryl Wallace)) |
Today Year 6 were visited by Matt from our local Fire Station.
Matt gave them some great tips on how to stay safe in the home including ensuring that we all have a working smoke alarm fitted.
He also talked about road safety, in particular when the children move on to high school and may find that they are travelling to school using a different mode of transport than at the minute. He mentioned about wearing a brightly coloured coat, school bags being brightly coloured, not walking or riding with head phones in and wearing a helmet whilst riding on their bikes.
The children listened very carefully throughout and gave some great answers to his questions.
