Centenary Day29 June 2015 (by Claire McKinnon) |
100 years of our wonderful school celebrated.
We all had a fantastic time on the 19th June celebrating our school centenary. We had an afternoon of entertainment on the field provided by our children including; the whole school dance from the Heart, The Year 5 Dance through the Decades, Year 1 country dancing, choir and the ukele and guitar band. This was followed by two hours of Scruff entertaining the children and then two hours of Sareema, a wonderful live duo. The Summer Fair happened alongside this with a marquee holding a wonderful exhibition of the school history. It was a wonderful day and the staff and children enjoyed dressing up in the fashions of the class chosen decade. Children were given a leather bookmark to commemorate the event. Thank you to all the dozens of people who made such a magnificent contribution to making the day such a success. On top of all this we even managed to raise over £900 for PTFA funds which will be going towards new net books.
