St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Primary School

Christine Dewhurst from CAFOD worked with all the children in Year 5 and 6 this week on the theme of looking after our world. This follows Pope Francis’s message of “Protect our common home.” Daniel in Year 5 says “We were given ideas of how to look after the environment like recycling, turning off lights and car sharing. We all made a commitment to be better at least at one thing that would protect the environment. She told us about the how things in this world are not shared out fairly and what we could do to help CAFOD help with this.” This was followed by a whole school assembly on the work of CAFOD and what we can do to support them in our school.
