We saw the old workhouse and where the train and tram bridges used to be. We saw different styles of houses and date stones. People used to pay a penny to catch a boat across the River. Penwortham Holme used to be a horse racing track surrounded by water.
We have had a lovely afternoon investigating the local area around our school for our History and Geography work.
