News Stories Y2 Computing We have been using a computer program called 2Question to help us learn about binary trees and how they are used in computing. First we played games of 'Guess Who' to show us the importance of asking the correct yes/no question. Y2 RE Y2 have been learning about what happens in Mass when the Gospel is read. We role played this and all joined in singing Alleluia. Y2 Science We have been sorting things according to the criteria of living, dead and never been alive. A huge Thank You! Peter Tennyson, a good friend of our school and the late Father Barry, kindly gave us some vouchers. We decided to buy some new jigsaws, building blocks and Top Trumps games for use on indoor wet playtimes and lunches. Our Liturgical Calendar As part of our RE topic ‘Journeys’ we have been learning about the journey through the Church year and have spent time making our own Liturgical Calendar. We liked it so much, that is on our Worship area. Year1 History We are learning about The Great Fire of London in Year 1. Year 3 Rock!!! Today we chose a special rock and created an observational drawing using pastels. We labelled our rock images and wrote about them. Hopefully we will be able to remember which is our rock next week. Year 1 Outdoor PE This week we are taking advantage of the dry weather to get outside and use the climbing frame for our PE lessons. Addition Focus A group of children in Year 3 showed great focus and determination with column addition. Well done! Year 3 Digestion Investigation As part of our science topic, through modelling, the children could see first hand how our teeth, tongue, saliva, oesophagus, stomach and intestines all help with the process of digestion. It made for fun but very yukky learning!
